Still going like the Energizer bunny.

Has anybody read this? I can't handle anything too sad, especially a sad ending. Which something Mike/Jeff and the title makes me think.

What's up with your team?

From: (Anonymous)
Not actually my team, but awww, poor baby McDavid and his broken collarbone.

What's going on with your Team?

From: (Anonymous)
The one-month-in and someone's probably injured edition.

Aw, you beat me. Poor McJesus, though. That is not a fun injury. :/

I can't decide if it's good he got it out of the way fairly early or if it's going to just screw up his whole season with the catching-up time he'll need when he gets back.

Somewhere a Calder hopeful is holding his little McJesus voodoo doll and giggling.

Chris Kelly probably played his last game as a Bruin.

It's actually been my favorite fic so far. It has a melancholy tone to it, but there's a very true-love-triumphs sort of ending, without being too fairytale. If you read the slightly spoilery end note, that really does cover how bad the events get. I really recommend the story, I thought it was well done. One of the better mythological/fairytale fusions I can remember reading.

Don't jinx it, I want to believe he'll be back :(

Re: What's up with your team?

I mean, it's possible, but he's out at least 6 months so at best he'd be back if the Bruins make it the playoffs, which is far from certain at this point (especially since Kelly's not in the lineup). If he doesn't come back this season (and even if he does, really), it'd be kind of foolish of the Bruins to re-sign him when he goes UFA at the end of the season.

But then again the Bruins are not known for making the best decisions.

Writing thread

From: (Anonymous)
How goes it, writer nonnies?

Re: Writing thread

From: (Anonymous)
Nonnie with the now-unstalled WIP has been averaging about 360 words a day, which I feel is not terrible, given that some of those days were non-writing days. If I can keep this up long term, then I have to get somewhere eventually, right?

Also I worked out the big ending scenes, which are still a long way away but give me something to write to, which makes a big difference.

Re: Writing thread

I have like 3000 words of this rarepair I think very few people will want to read, and somehow they are both too short AND go on too long. It's not making me feel very enthusiastic about working on it. :/

How do I start conversations with my beta again? With an apology for dropping off the face of the earth?
