He's in prison now, but 1) people used to defend him to my face, when the violence stuff was "rumors" and not an actual criminal investigation, 2) people still defend his previous work and call him a genius. Still! Our perception of guilt and of...let's call it moral culpability, absolutely bends based on race. See also Madelyn saying maybe Kane didn't realize the woman "wasn't appreciating proceedings" or whatever it was she said. If, say, Evander Kane were facing the same accusations, I kind of doubt people would be working to come up with accidental rape scenarios.
