That's a really nice gif!

Went to google his shoulders, saw this: http://www.vancitybuzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Erik-Gudbranson.png

Not cricket, Vancitybuzz. Not cricket.

Seeing his face never fails to make me happy. He looks so good too!

I'd say that people from northern latitudes are a lot more stupid about the sun than their more tropical counterparts. Half the kids we drafted in June were absolutely fried because the beach in Miami in mid summer is a great time to spontaneously take off your shirt!

I'm picturing Jen the PR director just sticking her foot out and tripping Geno, so that he can't avoid the media.

I loved the bit from last season where a media person commented to Geno that he'd talked to them a couple of days in a row, and he was all "Jen makes me do it!"

are you the same person who keeps making fun of the panthers? i think i hear reddit calling, it's time to go home.

Re: Fandom Goggles

I consider this to be pretty much canon.

NA I'm also Euro, and I've flown plenty between Sweden and Germany/Holland/France/Belgium and all planes that size I've been on had very little differentiation of class.

Not really a getting to know the team thing, but shoutout to when Panthers and Capitals set a new record for longest shoot out in December 2014 and it just got funnier and funnier as it went along http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEz1u4xHHsQ

Re: Player Lives and Random Gossip

Excuse me, are you saying Patric Hornqvist is not a good winger?!
...he's played for my team for one season and I'm already unreasonably defensive of the guy. He's just really great okay.

Re: Player Lives and Random Gossip

From: (Anonymous)
God, I love so much his habit of dating new people on the team. It's such a charming thing and a really good indication of his ~leadership style.

Re: Player Lives and Random Gossip

From: (Anonymous)
Hah, I'm not American either, that's why I'm honestly not sure if we are talking about the same night.

Re: Player Lives and Random Gossip

From: (Anonymous)
Sorry, pens nonnie, but it appears that not even the media power of Pittsburgh can fully lift Hornqvist out of obscurity.

Re: Fic You Want

From: (Anonymous)
Maybe it has disturbing content that doesn't fit one of the standard warnings.

I realize that it's drifted to the point where people find that to be a legit usage (the CNTW phrasing that caught on is probably at least partly responsible), but it's not what the warning actually says. It isn't "Choose Not to Warn (At All/For Anything)", it's "Choose Not to Use Archive Warnings", of which there are only four. So disturbing content outside of those four isn't actually covered by it, and people who haven't been around the block enough to realize how it gets used can still get burned by it.

Re: Player Lives and Random Gossip

Also, Geno has been woo'ing a potential winger (though I see him starting in bottom 6 while he gets experience), he went to a Steelers pre-season game with Plotnikov!

Re: Player Lives and Random Gossip

It's such a gift. My favorite was when Sid was finally cleared to eat solids after he broke his jaw and he was seen every single day eating out with Morrow, Murray and Iginla. IIRC he was with Morrow when he choked on the mozzarella stick.

Pre-solids, he kept going to The Milkshake Factory in Southside with Bennett and Bortuzzo. There needs to be a sister Twitter to @nealeatsalone that's called @sidhatestoeatalone

Re: Player Lives and Random Gossip

From: (Anonymous)
He had 25 goals and 51 points in 64 games last season! That would be 65 points in a full season, 28th in the league, and he scored almost all of them at even strength. Maybe this season he can stay healthy *knocks on wood*, get even more points and more attention.

SA

And by attention I mean recognition for how good he is. More fic with him would also be fantastic.

Re: Player Lives and Random Gossip

From: (Anonymous)
He and Murray had the best dates. I remember one guy on HFB said his friend snapped a pic of those two eating together outside because he thought they were cute and gay like him but didn't know they were famous.

Wait, how can readers get burned by Choose Not to Use Archive Warnings, no matter what the content of the story? I can see how some readers might feel like they'd been burned if the story was marked No Archive Warnings Apply and the story had disturbing content that didn't fit the standard warnings (though they'd still be wrong if they tried to start a fight about it), but I don't see how one could make a case against Choose Not to Use Archive Warnings.

Re: Patrick Kane

From: (Anonymous)
And nobody on the anti-Kane side has been going into the spaces of the pro-Kane people and objecting to their content

That's not true. Just even from what I've heard about on meme with people commenting directly on the AO3 stuff about how terrible it is.

I do agree that the Pro-Kane people are making this blow up way more than it would have if they'd just shut up and waited until training camp started or whatever.

In Canada Labour Day was the 7th if that helps?

You are speaking my language, nonny. I saw that HFBoards cap on Twitter and I love it so much. I wonder how often that happens to Sid.
