I accidentally clicked on the brother/sister tag on a hockey story and learned that there's an entire fandom for the brother and sister in the Christmas Folgers commercial.

I think it's just an incest story; people use it for characters without names. But also, tagging is weird and people don't tag correctly...

I didn't read the hockey story. Because JT/Chicago Blackhawks is emphatically not my jam. I was just impressed that an entire fandom exists based on a 30 second commercial.

It's not a big fandom, if you click through to the tag. But yeah, it exists. And some people use "Folgers" as code for incest these days.

Yeah, I remember that commercial getting a lot of traction during one of the Yuletides. My favorite thing to come out of it has to be this parody though:

That's an insanely detailed-oriented parody. The female actress especially has a really close likeness.

I remember once seeing a comment where someone had signed up for it in Yuletide not knowing there was that new version with the teenage girl and thinking of the old one with the little girl, and then they were really surprised when they read their Dear Author letter and the person was expecting incest.

What! I was also thinking of the one with the little girl. And I was like, "okay, fandom." And this one makes more sense though!

Thank you so much for bringing this into my life. I laughed so hard I woke the dog. She's judging me so hard right now.
