np. I'm the anon who was like ... oh, eyebrows, got it, when it came to telling them apart. He and Strome could have an eyebrow-off. And then lose to Roman Josi.

NA I'm the one who mentioned how fabulous his eyebrows were, so it makes me very happy to see more talk of his eyebrows on meme. Fabbri could also get in on the eyebrow-off.

Should we have an eyebrow bracket?

AYRT Yes. This is the best idea I've ever seen on meme.

If we are talking eyebrows, we have to mention Carey Price.

Brent Burns has surprisingly kempt eyebrows. They are of course terrific. How should this work? One player from each team? Only playoff teams?

Maybe one from each team in the league? Mostly because I want to include Sean Monahan. His eyebrows are a bit Vulcan-looking, which I can get behind.

Unless there are two brackets - one for playoffs and one for non-playoffs.

Yeah, I think one per team makes the most sense. And yes, Monahan does have good eyebrows.

Nonnies band together to select/confirm one guy from their team, then bracket elimination style from there until there is only one? (Brackets depending on which teams get candidates, of course.)

Okay, so all this talk had made me legitimately want to make a bracket that nonnies can vote on, if there's enough interest. If not, cool! I've very much enjoyed having my eyes opened to the wonders of some of these players' eyebrows.

A few logistics questions in case there is interest, though. We'd need nominees for each team (we've got a good start here, but I could start a separate thread to hash the rest out or even just make a poll where nonnies could nominate/vote if they want something more formal). And then after we have a nominee for each team, how would we want the brackets broken up: one huge bracket for the entire league, a bracket for each division, a bracket for each conference, or a bracket for playoffs teams and one for non-playoffs teams? Also, thoughts on seeding--just use league rank?

If you want a real bracket, you need some kind of wildcard bracket to start with, or else you need to add a couple more teams (I vote NWHL and CWHL as the two new ones) in order to get 32, ie, a power of 2.

Oh, good point! I'd be fine with either a wildcard or adding a couple of NWHL/CWHL teams (maybe the Pride & Inferno since they were the cup winners?), depending on what people prefer.

Yes, I think a separate thread. I vote nominations be done in that thread just by having people list the team name and nominee with one subthread per team (without changing the subject line, unless the demand gets too great, which I don't think it will). So, I go:

Capitals - Tom Wilson

And if no one responds, he's the nom. If someone +1s, he's the nom. If someone disagrees, by going:

Capitals - TJ Oshie

Then it's just number of votes and the tiebreaker is, IDK, a coin flip or something.

I do think 32 teams makes sense. No idea about seeding.

I'm a big fan of James Neal's eyebrows. They've been solid since he was an awkward Whaler teen.

Getzlaf's got nice eyebrows. Not the strongest color, but they've got a solid shape.

I've always thought Getzlaf's eyebrows would make him an excellent drag queen.

na Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' eyebrows are delicate, but they are fabulous.

I agree. They really work with his face, too. I'm a fan of his face overall, though. Those dimples. <3

i'm personally offended no one's named zach bogosian for this bracket yet.

This is why we need to have a poll! Because I was not aware of Bogosian's eyebrows before this, but wow. His eyebrow game is strong.

Eyebrows, overall dark brunette coloring, and height are the keys for me. Still find it amazing how they look nothing alike from a distance and then eerily similar closeup...except Wilson's killer brows.
