#23 — Brown Goes Down

This is the twenty-third post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Well, in all fairness to that anon, the Bruins did make a stink when Pittsburgh changed their colors. But it was definitely more of a case of the Pens wanting to match the city's other teams in the hopes of drawing more fans in than stealing from the Bruins.

I have no doubt the Bruins pitched a fit about it, but it doesn't mean the colors were 'stolen,' esp since the Steelers have been black and gold since 43 and the Bucs since the late 40s.

The colors literally come from William Pitt's coat of arms. Woo history.

...yes? That's why I said it was a case of them wanting to match the other teams. I don't actually think it was stealing at all, but the Bruins did protest it, so I can understand where maybe that particular anon got that idea from.
