Larkin interviewed in Russia.

From 03:05 onwards. What's with the little attitude? Not bashing him or anything, just didn't expect that coming from him lol.

Aw, I was hoping for a little more attitude than that.

He mostly seems really sick of the questions. He's boring but level for all the hockey stuff and then it ends with personal questions and you can kind of see him go "why isn't this over yet?" or something similar. Like when they ask what he likes to do in his free time and he answers that he doesn't have any free time outside of hockey. Or what kind of TV does he like? "Hockey channels." Any special place on Earth he wants to see? "Not really." This is not a guy who wants to share anything personal in this particular interview, lol. (Maybe not in any interviews? I'm not a Red Wings fan so I don't know much about him.)

"I don't have any free time away from hockey."

...really. Like, does that seem like a deeply weird thing to anyone else? I've heard plenty of "we're pretty busy, but when I have time..." answers.

I thought for a while early in the interview that he was maybe just super tired or jet lagged or something, but he'd been done with playoffs for two weeks at that point, though I didn't pay attention to when team USA traveled over. He definitely looked distracted by whatever else was going on, and not in a fun way, just in a forced default to hockey robot way.

Although, he does seem way happier on the ice than he ever has anywhere else, so who knows.

Now I want fic where Zach Werenski tries to help Larkin get a hobby outside of hockey, but they always lose interest half-way through the activity and end up having sex instead. (sneakily trying to get it on in a golf cart anyone??)

Ayrt - or some red wings PR person just sitting him down and saying "seriously, dude. You're the future of our franchise, just give us something, anything, to work with off the ice," and Larkin's efforts thereafter, because it's like hockey if hockey boss type people tell you to do it.

Now I want Werenski/Larkin fake dating so Larkin looks like he has an off-ice life.

I'm going to need someone to please teach me things about Dylan Larkin and Zach Werenski now.

Dylan Strome is probably the player I'd like least to know about ~fandom. Not that I want anyone to find out obviously lol, just him the least.

Dylan Larkin said I needed to get out more. I said okay. After the game, I waited for him outside the Wings' lockerroom, but he said he didn't mean with him. He doesn't have free time.
