Re: Random Thread

That would be ... another level.

Re: Random Thread

Another vote for this. For real, someone needs to prompt this on tsb.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
I muddled the two of them up last post.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
Dylan Strome is probably the player I'd like least to know about ~fandom. Not that I want anyone to find out obviously lol, just him the least.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
Yes, I think he needs not to ever click a link about himself ... but that doesn't stop me from wanting more fic about him.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
SA And now I want a fic where John Tavares thinks he is banging Dylan Strome but is actually with Dylan Larkin.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
DA
Could he bang both of them?

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
I feel like this could be either hilarious or sad, but I want it either way.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
Unfortunately I feel like younger guys are in the biggest danger of find out, like the likelihood of having a cousin who read 1D rpf or something in their teen days is high.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
AYRT - Yes - For science. How else will he know which Dylan tastes better.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
I was thinking more they'd be tasting him, but ymmv.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
Same, same. He's probably my favourite from that draft class group fic-wise.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
AYRT I was thinking more funny, but I guess it could go really sad too.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
(Well, mostly the Stromecest fics. I can tell you approx. zero about his personality. Good eyebrows, tho.)

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
Let's hope that cousin read those wattpad stories and thus they only know about those self inserts which I feel would be less disturbing.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
I like this idea. He wouldn't have to remember two names, only one!

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
I feel like they're more aware of the self insert stories, which are definitely more in the mainstream. I know there was that article where Giroux was asked about them, lol.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
Well, better that then, 'how do you feel about coparenting with and also banging Danny Briere?'

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
AYRT - I think that there would be enough testing for both to happen.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
Oh, it's basically impossible to enter 1D fandom and not come out knowing about slash fic/ao3 if you're either a twitter or a tumblr user. It's everywhere.

Re: Fic Discussion - build it from the ground up

From: (Anonymous)
why do you care? filter him out

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
I am sad this won't get written.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
For a while it felt it was almost impossible not to know about it if you're an internet user, whether you wanted to or not.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
Oh, definitely. I feel like the self insert stuff is easier for them to understand too. It makes me feel a little cringey and embarrassed that they'd be asked about any of it, but I guess the genie is out of the bottle for that one anyway and has been for years. I'm just saying that they almost definitely know about the self insert stories, so maybe (hopefully) that's their perception of fanfiction as a whole.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
For most of them it probably is their perception, but I still think some of the more internet savvy ones "know". I guess it also depends on where ao3 comes up on google when it's not in your internet history all the time though, lol.
