My understanding is also that only the bottom two teams get relegated.

I sort of agree/disagree about taking players' attitudes into account. I don't think that's necessarily a thing they should be actively judging -- saying you're sorry about it doesn't make it better, so I don't think contrition should get anyone a lighter punishment. But for Rinaldo to publicly make a statement like that contributes to a dangerous line of thinking and makes a joke out of the league's authority on player safety, and should be punishable as well.

No, I don't think it should get anyone a lighter punishment. Orpik seeming sorry doesn't change the concussion, but you're right in that allowing statements like that to stand encourage a way of thinking which is very destructive.

RIP your inbox. At least the tentacle stuff was there to break up the wank.

There's an S/G story where they are both women working at an office and Geno's a receptionist and Sid's a paralegal or something like that. And Sid gets Geno Russian Harry Potter books for her birthday. I can't remember where I read it. If anyone can help, I'd much appreciate it.

I was not aware of that, so thank you for bringing that to my attention

& I can obviously understand why you would want someone who hurt you to be fairly punished, and I can understand how it makes it easier in determining suspensions, but I don't know, I would just feel safer if there was an overall focus on preventative stuff

It's incredibly repetitive wank, too. The same wank over and over again. I wouldn't mind so much if it was at least new and interesting wank.

Re: Random Thread

I just noticed that Eliteprospects.com links players' social media accounts on their profiles.

But then the fourth liner will lie to his team about the severity of the injury to keep his job.

DA I think the repeat offender inherently takes a player's attitude into account. If a player is truly contrite he will attempt to avoid doing it in the future.

eliteprospects is bae. It's my default fact-checking website.

I just saw on the News page that they have a Fantasy League this year!

Has anyone signed up for it?

I didn't know Wyshynski frequented meme.

Re: What's Up With Your Team? - Playoffs Round 2

The concept of repeat offender/how the league takes previous supplementary discipline into account could also use some retooling, given how wildly DoPS's standards have fluctuated over the years. For example, Kris Letang had a suspension history before this series, and Tom Wilson didn't, which factored into their respective punishments. But Letang's prior suspension was a 2-game regular season suspension for boarding just after Shanahan starting running DoPS and handing suspensions out right and left. If those same standards were being currently enforced, no way Wilson enters this playoffs without repeat offender status.

Re: What's Up With Your Team? - Playoffs Round 2

Wow, original. I don't know how this thought could ever have occurred to anyone who was speculating about the Letang suspension, unless they were Wyshynski. Amazingly enough, two people can have similar opinions without being the same person, especially if it's idea that's been discussed by tons of people for a long time and is relevant to a current high-profile incident in a high-profile playoff series.

At least it was on my phone. My computer doesn't like me going through my inbox too quickly but on my phone I can glance and swipe really quickly. So I missed reading half the wank but I probably didn't miss much.

Re: Fandom Goggles

Yeah, you didn't really miss anything. And you've probably read it all before anyway.

Re: Kinkmeme Discussion

I just wanted to point out, in case anyone was in a writerly/artistic mood, that I have prompted Hair Washing on the kink meme before.

Thought nonnies might be interested in this article on Colton Parayko taking classes to finish up this degree (and writing term papers/taking finals during the playoffs):

Jo Paw-velski is joining the Sharks on their road trip, apparently! I assume from the pic that she and Burnzie have become BFFs, which is really all a cat could want in life.

Re: Random Thread

From: (Anonymous)
I think that's Photoshopped? But this is hockey, so who the actual fuck knows. Maybe Burnzie is a Disney princess and they're letting him bring his menagerie along for morale reasons.

Re: What's Up With Your Team? - Playoffs Round 2

From: (Anonymous)
Given how (per that article about Panthers/Willie Mitchell) players are apparently concerned about the state of discipline for head injuries, I wonder if the NHLPA will approach that differently in the next contract.

Do you feel this way about all RPF ships, or just het ones, or just incest het ones?

Does anyone know what's up with delicious? It's having trouble loading all my links. It also looks like instead of redirecting from del.icio.us to delicious.com it's redirecting back from delicious.com to del.icio.us Anyone have the scoop? Did it get sold again or something?

Yeah, but if it had been the last couple of posts, you would have woken up to 500 emails.
