DA Yeah, people did take that shit seriously enough to believe a rumor about him eating hot dogs, etc. He shouldn't have been 'the guy' in a big hockey market - he's pretty clearly a bad personality fit, and reporters apparently resented the fact that he was a bad quote.
I think some of these rumors continue: He's was the best forward at the Olympics and in Conn Smyth discussions and was left off the WC roster.
I'm glad he's in PGH where no one's gonna throw stones for being a good eater, and he doesn't have to play that role with media.
