I don't know who posted what first but I saw a text post about it too, I think from someone just watching the game (they also took it back) so I would believe that people saw that post or the tweet, and then the altered gifs, and just took them at face value. I had never watched the Sharks before these playoffs and had no idea what his glove looks like normally and I'm sure I wasn't alone. I didn't like or reblog the post becayse I didn't think it looked like pride tape but I'm not faulting east coast or non sharks fans who chose to believe it.
