I agree that a lot of the proposals are really naïve. I mostly mentioned the possibility as something people proposing to keep Fleury could have in mind other than trading Murray.

The idea that Fleury will let himself get drafted to Vegas is not realistic, but if he has a good relationship with the FO and trusts them, it's not totally outside the realm of possibility that he could waive his NMC with the promise that the Pens will give something to Vegas to not draft Fleury, which ought to be less costly than Murray. Fleury might prefer to take that chance rather than a trade, if a trade becomes a concrete possibility. But I also don't think Murray's quite proven himself to be a franchise goaltender yet. If he doesn't have a good year, his trade value might dip a little.

If only her fixation meant she actually cared about fleshing her characters out instead of just going, "They're from here (which will only be accurate if they're from Toronto or Ottawa), their family life is mildly strained, and they have UST with fifteen other equally shallow dudes." I think the fact she can't develop characters without them taking over the narrative says a lot.

it's gotta be hard for a young guy who doesn't speak the language that well and doesn't have a lot of close friends in the area to be injured for that long.

i'd personally like to know my draft order before that so i can really start overthinking my rankings, but if i'm alone in that i'm okay with the dates as is!

lol that's basically all she does. she gets overly attached to random side characters, people start sending her asks about them (because tumblr loves to care about minor characters) and then 2 days later she starts a new series about just them.

I really wish that fandom wrote fic. It's the quintessential canon with good bones but unsatisfying execution that should breed fic, but, well, I guess this is what happens with the fandom BNF is also the canon source.

And maybe if people stopped leading her down the road of distraction she could write an actual, satisfying ending for once. Doubtful, but not impossible.

In the last expansion draft San Jose traded a player, a third and a seventh rounder to one team for not taking Nabakov, plus a player, a third and a ninth to the other team. So, there are definitely deals possible.

Yes, plus the Pens will only have to bribe one team, who should in theory have a better pool of goalies to choose from than in the last expansion draft, since no team can protect two goalies, and Vegas is the only team picking?

Asked if he had made any new friends, Zuccarello smiled and mentioned Chara, who stands 6 feet 9 inches; Zuccarello is 5-7.

He seems to make friends with the tallest people he can find.

Eichel sounds super Canadian. I guess a lot of hockey players do, regardless of actual nationality. Kopitar sounded pretty Canadian too.

Saad's "OH MY" was so cute.

It's interesting to see how much talking there is. A lot of on-ice playmaking, sure, but also going over stuff on the bench and complimenting each other whenever.
