This is the twenty-sixth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

DA, I'm assuming there's a clause in the trade that says Florida retains a third of Bolland's salary if he doesn't play?

I haven't seen that anywhere, which is why I'm asking. The Sportsnet article made a point of saying there was no salary retained. The closest I've seen is someone saying that the insurance company would end up paying most of his salary if he doesn't play, so that Arizona would be not be out as much in actual dollars. Although I assume the insurance policy he'd be covered by at the time of injury would be Florida's so maybe that's what the anon was referring to.

It's just waaay too much for me, like a thousand people yelling at once. Too fast, too many completely different topics, too much looking for something to be outraged about, too much actual bigotry. Just a complete mess. Our wank might be painfully pointless 99.999% of the time, but at least it isn't... that.

DA It can be overwhelming I just pick through the threads there sometimes there are things I'm interested in. Other times I am scrolling a lot.

Original nonnie here. I was wrong. I read this tweet and swapped Florida and Arizona in this tweet.

If David Bolland is not healthy to play then @ArizonaCoyotes will pay $3,300,000 $1,100,000 per year or 20% of the contract in hard costs.

I don't really object to the content over there, but now that I have a day job (and a few years of growth in participation) it moves so fast I can't participate if I try. The days of flatmeme-ing over there are long gone.

I finally unsubscribed. I was only hanging on because I enjoyed the David updates more often than not, but now what I enjoyed has been drowned out by too much Georgie and Robbie involvement, ugh.

It's a little weird, but I like it. The way the curses hit each individual player is pretty funny. I'm enjoying Reimer as a curse breaking goalie and Lou with his bonds to every backup he plays with.

I really like this one, too! It's a gem, it's funny, and Ekblad's curse of being 30 and yet him looking exactly the same was hilarious.

I like Robbie in David more, so yeah.

I liked the last update, stuff is actually moving forward, and David got confronted about stuff and had to own up to it. At least for a little while.

I find ffa to be way more low-key than here, honestly. It's big and loud, but it's not personal, and if one conversation gets to be too much I can go check into five other potentially interesting ones instead. The speed it moves means no argument sticks around for long unless someone's really determinedly grudgewanking it, and people push back on that pretty hard. And on ffa if someone's being Wrong on the Internet, I can be confident several other people will push back, whereas here I do not have that confidence.

NA I go to FFA, too, and I'd take the wank over there to the wank here any day--it seems a lot less personal than it does here, partially because things move so fast. I also find it much easier to avoid things I'm not interested in and find things that I do want to talk about over there than over here.

I think FFA does less of "I don't like what you said, so I am going to pick apart your sentence construction for 20 comments." But maybe it just gets drowned out because there's so much activity going on there.

I was glad David owned up, but it just felt so weak. Robbie got over it really fast and it just turned into the Pity David Party part 51. It probably doesn't help that I don't care about Jake at all - my real rooting interest here is David/Therapy, as unlikely as that is to ever happen. David/noticeable improvements in more areas of his life? Something like that.

Isn't that kind of Shane Doan's speciality too, though? If Crouse can stick around a bit it wouldn't be a bad idea at all in my opinion if he ended up taking Crouse under his wing for Doan's final season
