Maybe the person who is matchable with you is waiting for the same thing. Thus, neither of you will ever sign up and that pairing will never be written. :(

I saw I got an a-mail from the mods (as someone who participated last year) inviting me to sign up again this year. That felt very welcoming, and I'm going to try to make it a priority to sign-up sooner instead of waiting until the last minute.

It usually takes me forever to sign up. I wish you could save drafts of sign-ups for later submission.
