Pretty much. I have a ton of built-up annoyance over this fandom's stupid diet crap, so it's really easy for even the slightest mention to become backbutton-worthy for me either on its own, or because it's early in a fic (since there could very well be a ton more to come), or because I'm already irritated by the fic anyway, or whatever. And it being a joke or a thing where they're like "tee hee, not on my diet plan but imma eat it anyway" doesn't really ameliorate it for me, because it still counts as bringing up diet crap. Also, I know this is super petty, but the "lobster salad with bread" thing was a bit annoying anyway you slice it and ultimately became the straw the broke the camel's back.
