Oh thanks, I didn't see the tv thing! I tend to trust Friedman's judgment, so if he also believes it I'd give it more weight. I thought from the beginning McDavid was a big factor in what made Hall expendable, but the idea of getting rid of him in part because management didn't want competing leadership is new to me, and it really rubs me the wrong way. It's just such a dumb reason to get rid of someone.
