I see the logic behind it if it's a team preparing a franchise player for a role he will hold on the team for a long time, while other players come and go. I can't see any rationale for it in a tournament like this, except as a marketing ploy. I honestly expected them to give McDavid an A and have a more experienced player with the C. I wonder if Saad would have gotten it if he were Canadian.
