I really wish that fandom wrote fic. It's the quintessential canon with good bones but unsatisfying execution that should breed fic, but, well, I guess this is what happens with the fandom BNF is also the canon source.

And maybe if people stopped leading her down the road of distraction she could write an actual, satisfying ending for once. Doubtful, but not impossible.
