This is the twenty-sixth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.
THE RULES

Re: What's Up With Your Team- Age of Arbitration
(Anonymous) 2016-07-18 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)The team is pretty strong at drafting, so they get mediocre by taking advantage of ELC/RFA contracts, ensuring they never get great draft picks. Then they get cheap in all the wrong ways until it fucks them over because they're terrible at trades. See Alfie leaving because management went back in their word to pay him, the Spezza "oops we can't pay you and now it's too late to get good value" trade, the Bobby Ryan "we just got dumped so we're rebounding hard and throwing money at the first big name player to show us positive attention" trade/contract extension, the whole Hoffman arbitration debacle...
Having a bad owner is the worst, because with bad management you can at least hope for them to get fired.
