THE RULES

I thought it was great. Didn't someone post a while back about wanting outing fic that focused on the team's reactions? That was definitely a major thread in this.

It did a great job showing a mixed team response without demonizing any player.

So far as I know they've never revealed it. Whenever he gets asked he makes super squirrelly faces and declines to answer.

Google turns up some twitter/tumblr spec that it's based on the Russian word for "quiet" because he talks so much and maybe he was getting told that a lot.

I love that there is a youtube video for that.
There is also "TI-she", quieter, that would sound the most similar.

I think I was one of the anons who mentioned that! I am so glad you recced this because I totally passed over it since I skip most Crosby fic because I hate how he's written but I was so so so so pleasantly surprised with his characterization (and Phil was pitch perfect too for that matter). And yeah this fic had everything I wanted in an outing fic from the realistic team reaction standpoint.

Also like that MAF was his best bro and confidante rather than Malkin. Not a Pens fan but from what I've heard,that's more how it is IRL?

I was super curious to know who the other players Kesselhad hooked up with but alas we never learn.
