#26 — Vanek! with a Jurco

I feel like if he was planning to sign with the Sabres he would have done it already since they had his rights.

He said from the beginning that he still planned on going to free agency. I've pretty much given up guessing where he's going, other than vaguely hoping that he doesn't go to the undesirables. It'd be fun to try and hit Chicago with the tampering stick, though. Just to fuck with them.

A lot of it seems to be about going to free agency, which the Sabres knew and have commented on; I think they've said they wanted the extra negotiating time and he earned UFA.

That being sad, I'd bet Boston or New York.

I'm half expecting NJ to get him. Vesey has been said to value privacy so he'd for sure get that as a Devil compared to being with NYR and Boston. Plus, Devils are on the rise moreso than the Rangers and I'd argue the Bruins too. Sabres and Isles are also in that same category tas the Devils hough.
