Jamie Benn will not be attending the WCOH because he hasn't fully recovered from his surgery earlier this summer. He'll be replaced by Logan Couture.

(That sound you hear in the distance is me singing the Hallelujah chorus.)

I wish everyone on my team would, tbh. Not that I don't want to see them play, but if they get injured I'm going to be sore about it all season.

I don't think it's like the ASG. Players seem excited for it, like the Olympics. Benn had a legit surgery with a recovery time that was pushing it close, and so did Callahan.

So no, I don't see Crosby coming down with his annual ASG flu or Pavelski to fall victim to whatever horrible invisible ailment made him terrible in the SCF.

Multiple unsigned RFAs have said they would go, too, unlike Worlds. And isn't Callahan out for four months?

I'm hoping Kronwall bows out. I love the guy as much as anyone, but as a Wings fan, I'd love it more if they gave him a full summer to let his knee heal. Besides, I'm sure other young Swedes (ahem, Klingberg) would love a chance to represent their country.

Aaaaaaand holy monkey paw. No news for a month, and then Holland just announced Jurco and Saarijarvi will miss the start of the season, also due to injury. Maybe I shouldn't make any more wishes :(

I really hope Parise drops out. Reports say his back isn't 100% yet, so I really wish he'd take the few extra weeks to keep resting up.
