Half of me believes the owner is just trolling now and is using this all as a smokescreen for the perfectly reasonable name he secretly has waiting in the wings. The other half of me is resigned to having the fucking Sand Knights in my division.

I want them to be Sand Kings.

I actually like Desert Knights, if we have to stick with the Knights idea. I wish they'd drop it, though.

If they have a boring name they should at least go for neon colours. :(

I want them to have a cool jersey so bad, because I would definitely spend money on a Las Vegas hockey shirt just for the novelty. But I think I saw they're going with silver and black so it's probably going to be a boring kings knockoff.

My pipe dream is them using some kind of sand color with a bright accent like a neon green. I just want a new color scheme in this league. Plus I like the mix of the desert-y vibe mixed with a pop of Vegas pizzaz.
