#26 — Vanek! with a Jurco

This is the twenty-sixth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Eh, I think it's Canada then Sweden, then a grab bag. Team NA is probably a bit underrated and USA overrated.

Honestly, I'd rather have NA's defense than USA's. Their goaltending is quite a bit weaker, but overall their team is probably better.

/unpopular opinion time: I think Sweden looks better than Canada, especially on the blueline. Pretty much all of those D-men are serviceable number 1 guys.

Yeah, Sweden's forwards aren't as good, but their goaltending and defense are likely better. And if Price isn't 100%, that becomes a big, big question mark, whereas Lundqvist is healthy.

Lundqvist is a notoriously slow starters the the beginning of seasons, though. In a tournament he might not have a chance to get his ice legs under him.

Canada still has Holtby and Crawford. Lundqvist might generally be better than both, but I wouldn't say it's a concern if Price isn't ready. They would just have to recognize it and switch before they doom themselves.

The teams are pretty close though overall.
