THE RULES

I thought Gaudreau was MENA-descended for a good long while, and now that I'm pretty sure he's not I no longer care about him at all. WAU because of the obvious potential for racewank, but honestly it was more like rooting a little bit for a random guy on a team you don't care about because he's one of like three guys from your hometown out there, then dropping it entirely when you find out he's actually from somewhere else.

*tilts head* Not judging, but help me understand. Do you follow MENA-descended NHL players and thought Gaudreau was one of them, or you found Gaudreau interesting b/c you thought he was MENA-descended? (ngl, I started following hockey back in the day b/c Paul Kariya is HAPA (and hot), so I understand that feeling of solidarity)
