This is the twenty-sixth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-21 04:11 am (UTC)(link)The shirts thing seemed to be an issue with the printing company. That happens. Same with the page missing from the book. However, she has no excuse not to keep people posted, especially since I'm sure backers would understand some of that is out of her control.
No one is forcing people to donate to Patreon. If people are dissatisfied with what they're getting, they can stop their monthly payment. She can't be fired from Patreon, but people can choose not to pay her so she is not making money from it. I don't know what backer perks there are, since I'm not a patron, but there do seem to be some.
The Kickstarter is for the second volume. You... need startup money to do that? To print books? I read through all of her Kickstarter info, and it's to buy books. It's not to fund the comic, it's to buy a book.
If people want to buy the book, that's their prerogative. Over a thousand people do, and it's their money. Hopefully they're aware of the entire situation before they spend, but that's about as far as I'm willing to go.
