This is the twenty-sixth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

1. Mods retain the right to delete, freeze, and/or screen threads and comments.

Woot! I'm not doing this exchange, but hopefully my need for MOAR of my ship will be satisfied by others. I'm still tickled that Nicky/Ovi has made what ground it has. I think there were ~6 stories on AO3 when I started in this fandom.

I really wanted to just write some gift fics, to get myself back into the swing of things and give hockey rpf a first try, so I'm kind of disappointed that it doesn't seem like we'll be able to see the actual requests (the specifics, I mean).

I hope the mods update the offers/requests soon. I want to see what the numbers are after the recent batch of sign-ups and see if I'm matchable with anyone.

The mods updated the spreadsheet yay! I'm unmatchable for both writing and receiving (d'oh), but maybe this will pique someone's interest.

I want to sign up, but I'm not sure if I should since I tend to be the type of writer who can either finish an entire 5k fic in like two days, or have 500 words sit and stare at them in a word document for six months before admitting defeat :(

Ooh, someone requested a rarepair I like to write, and nobody else is offering to write it. And a few others I like have "request/offer" at 1 and 1, so maybe I can help others be matchable if I sign up. That's a fun thought.

Someone can write for me now! And it's a pairing I totally didn't expect anyone to offer. I still don't have anyone I can write for, but I remain hopeful.

I was hoping this would get over 50 sign-ups (mostly because it's a big round number lol) and it did! 55 now!

Does anyone remember how many initial sign-ups there were last year?

I'm thinking I might delete my sign-up. There's still not anyone I can write for, and the person who would be able to write for me now has other options for that pairing. I'm also feeling way too lazy to think of prompts or write a letter.

Someone else requested (and offered, I assume it's the same person!) my super rare rarepair and I'm hoping SO HARD to be matched with them. I have other pairings I could match on, I think, but this one would make me eternally happy, lol. Please, ao3 matching gods, make it so!!

Got my assignment! No surprise on matched pairing (there was only one option on the spreadsheet unless someone had signed up after the last update), but I love the letter and preferences my recip has. All looks very in-line with what I'd like to write.

I just shook the gifts. There's only one fic for any of the pairings I requested and I'm really hoping that one is for someone else, else my author has drastically either misread or ignored my dislikes list.

Okay, stupid question, but how do I actually know that I successfully posted my story? Because I still see the fulfill and default buttons under my assignment (under the story title). Is that how it should look?

Is it really bad form, to fix a story in ways more than just typos between posting to the collection and fic reveal? Should I go begging late for an extension, rather than post now and try to coax it into shape before reveal? :(
