I wonder how much is last year's draft narrative, though. I didn't see it quite as much with Matthews etc, and I doubt the focus will be as big on Nolan Patrick or whoever next year.

My corner of fandom is currently all about the 2016 draft and I've barely even heard of these kids. I am way too old (35) to be checking out their shirtless lake pics (I know a lot of younger people who are closer in age to them, and I'm not judging at all)

Hmm, that's definitely not mine. I follow a few people who are invested in terms of national teams, but not really for fic.
