NA

Slight tangent: What's the consensus here on Ben Scrivens' goalie series being ghostwritten or not? I just assume all are and therefore his are too, at least partially but maybe with less input than usual.

I assumed that any ghostwriter pretty much just edited down for space and SPAG--after hearing him talk for two hours on the podcast, I very much believe he wrote a huge fucking wall of text. That's just me, though.

Maybe the ghost writer edited for clarity or tried to? His articles showed some aggressive statements but it's not the normal Players Tribune voice.

I'm just getting flashbacks to that Epix special from awhile ago, to this specific scene of him reading a newspaper and being all I have a college degree and do not have time for this stupidity (paraphrasing). Lord knows plenty of people con their way through school while still being shitty writers, but I could buy four years of sociology papers beating a few good habits into him.

I honestly felt his article was too complex and developed for it not to have been mostly his writing. Especially the nuances, like switching between he and she pronouns.

I don't know why the process would have been any different in his case than what's been described. The person is interviewed. The interview is typed up with some editing where necessary. The person gets a copy of the article to approve or make changes. It's published.

It would not have required changes to the usual process for him to say he wanted to alternate pronouns or whatever.
