#26 — Vanek! with a Jurco

This is the twenty-sixth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

This was a slow, slow month at the archive of our own. We had a total of 107 fics (vs 186 last month, 155 in August 2015). Biggest ship by far was K/T with 19 fics (out of 20 Hawks fics total). There were only 3 Sid/Geno fics, but that was out of 15 Pens fics total, so the Pens rarepair parade continues.

K/T (23 in July / 19 in August)
Gallys (5 / 5)
Benn/Seguin (9 / 5)
Marner/Strome (4 / 5)
Pairings with 3 each: Sid/Geno, Crosby/Giroux, Eichel/McDavid, Crosbycest

Usual restrictions apply: Fics completed this month, >1k. Crossteam ships count only in the crossteam category – ie, McEichel doesn’t count for Oilers or Sabres.

I also loved it but god do I wish the author would get a (better?) beta. The consistent lack of apostrophes drives me insane.

Probably Cherchez la Femme, the fic with Jenny Scrivens in the NHL. It wasn't perfect, but I loved what it was trying to do and quite enjoyed the results. I would love to read more fic like it.
