I'm a little surprised it took fandom this long to write about Alex Galchenyuk's girlfriend hitting him, but this just seems super-gross. I have not actually read it yet, but the author is pretty clear in the notes about the fact that they're dramatizing that real-life event (in the service of a Gally Squared fic).

I would love to ask the title question of the author, tbh.

Judging by their profile they are a Gally squared tin-hatter. It is very poorly written, nonsensical garbage.

I blacklisted this author after I read three of their fics. I tried to give them a chance, but I gave up. So this is what they're doing now?

The writing is so OTT bad in the best way that I could have enjoyed it if the subject matter weren't so gross :(

Even after reading all of the comments on meme I wasn't prepared for how terrifying that was. In terms of RL grossness and writing it was just... beyond.

And idk if it was the caps lock or the misspelling of DSP's name but I am a terrible person and legit lol'ed at this line: "What could you know about MY SITUATION Devonte?” Alex hisses.

I also lol'd my head off at that line, but shame on you for forgetting the beauty that was the bold and italics! Also great, like two paragraphs later: "Brendan, I love you with all my heart and because I’m cowering under the homophobia of sports, I think I’m hurting you in the process." Also, just all of it. Classic.

ngl that sentence makes me almost want to read it. Just for the complete OMG-ness if it all.

And very very true, the italics add the emphasis that bold alone just can't convey. Tbh I've never listened to a podfic in my life and never plan to, but if someone dramatically brings this to life I will be making an exception.

This one caught me on my re-read: “Alex, I love you with all my heart too. We could have just avoided all this by coming out. It is happening so often now that people are becoming accepting of the reality that homosexuality can exist anywhere. If however, you want universal acceptance, you will be waiting for a real long time dear. I’m here though and I have no plans of leaving anytime soon."

I'm not gonna give it any hits or waste time reading it, but the lines that other people have posted here are pretty hilarious. Gross, but hilarious.

I'm a DV survivor, and one of the nonnies who was all "I really hope RL Galchenyuk is getting some hugs/counseling and I *want* DSP/Galchenyuk h/c fic but I fail to see how to do it in a manner that won't make me want to puke" a post or two ago. When I saw this come up on my dash I wanted to scream because it was exactly what I did NOT want.

(It doesn't help I hate Brendan Gallagher and think he's an off-ice asshole. I want Galchenyuk out of Montreal for a lot of other reasons, but one of the shallow ones is just "better teammate shipping options please?")

That's one of the big reasons I want Galchenyuk out of Montreal, too.

Don't worry you're not alone with the shallow reasoning. Not a big fan of Weber pairing, but I'll take him over Gallagher. Too bad he was not selected for team NA so many options would have been available. Hoping he'll go the Worlds now.

No, I'm just saying I rather have Weber/Galchenyuk than Gallagher/Galchenyuk. Not that anyone else is shipping them.

i would read weber/galchenyuk (or price/galchenyuk) porn but i cannot bring myself to actually ship either of those things *romantically*, which limits my interest.

(i still want improbable trade #2 "galchenyuk for ribeiro". nash gets a legit 2c, ribeiro gets to blend in with the rest of the shittiness in montreal, galchenyuk probably gets pk hugs and *definitely* has better teammate shipping options, too bad this *is* still rl.)

Sometimes with things like this I have a total "fuck it, it's fiction" mentality. If there's someone on the Preds you want to ship Galchenyuk with, well, now you could have Subban or Weber (or both!) playing matchmaker. It would be cracky, but it would still work if you wanted it to.

Agreed on all counts, nonny. God I want Galchenyuk to be traded.

I lowkey ship Jacob Trouba/Galchenyuk after I read some fic a while back. Maybe they'll be traded to the same team.
