Right? What fanbase is going to look at a series they are unexpectedly competitive in and say, "Wow, our opponents sure are playing badly, lucky us!"
And besides, this idea that the Caps are the only team on the ice whose performance affects the result is kind of obnoxious. There's always two teams in a game.
