Well, there aren't really that many Caps ships that have an established fandom dynamic. They're pretty much Ovechkin/Backstrom and the brobeans and possibly Oshie/Carlson. So if you're writing anyone else, you'd just end up doing some team research and then inventing the fictional ship dynamic for yourself. And new takes are fun and refreshing in any case.
