the brand-new soulbond one was readable (i think it helped that it's auston POV.) i don't think it's going to be a fandom classic but again, step above much of the tag. (i have trouble telling whether anything with them is actually a step above just readable, because i dislike rl marner, am pretty indifferent to rl matthews, and so much of it reads like baby's first fic that it further skews my perception.)
