All the articles about rookie Backstrom living with the Nylanders and William looking up to him as a kid is making me want fic about Nylander's first crush being Backstrom.

That sounds very relevant to my interests. Do you have any links to these articles by any chance? :D

That sassy Nicky at the end of the second article, I like it. But that has got to be weird. Hell, it's even making me feel old, lol.

This is very rtmi. Also, poor Nicky must be feeling super old when he meets the 10-year old he used to play street hockey with across NHL ice.

I've been sort of kind of maybe working on a fic like this, but the caps aren't really my team so it's a lot of research I'm not sure I'll be able to do.

I'm a Leafs fan so I can't really help you out with Caps stuff, but I'm willing to cheer you on and provide any Nylander material I have saved up? I really want this fic.

awww...thanks for sharing them being cute in the handshake line, nonnie :).

There were also some nice Ovechkin & Matthews moments but it was nothing as personal as Backstrom & Nylander.
