#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?
This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.
THE RULES

6. No embedded music.
7. No embedded images.
8. No spamming the meme, whether through repeated comments or other means.
9. No discussing trolling, individual trolls, or their efforts.
Meme rules do not require spoiler cuts. However, this layout does allow for them. Any of the following tags will create a spoiler cut when closed: <div cut>, <span cut>, <font color="white">

(Anonymous) 2017-04-18 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)It's not like I expect it to *stop* them, it's just a (questionable but easy to remember and quote) data point in Kessel's defense. Size discrimination is basically an -ism, and -ists generally won't shut up no matter how much objective evidence to the contrary there is.
That shit is why despite not being a Pens fan, I was all YAY at Steve Dangle's meme and Phil taking the Cup back to Toronto--it felt like a low-key "fuck you Toronto media/all the haters" and was by far my favorite part of the Pens winning.
(You could probably make a case that even though PKessel's a presumably cis white dude so sexism and/or racism aren't playing into this the way they all too often do, ableism *is* because it would not surprise me if Kessel being a young testicular cancer survivor permanently affected his body's fat storage mechanisms/metabolism.)
