#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

It's not like I expect it to *stop* them, it's just a (questionable but easy to remember and quote) data point in Kessel's defense. Size discrimination is basically an -ism, and -ists generally won't shut up no matter how much objective evidence to the contrary there is.

That shit is why despite not being a Pens fan, I was all YAY at Steve Dangle's meme and Phil taking the Cup back to Toronto--it felt like a low-key "fuck you Toronto media/all the haters" and was by far my favorite part of the Pens winning.

(You could probably make a case that even though PKessel's a presumably cis white dude so sexism and/or racism aren't playing into this the way they all too often do, ableism *is* because it would not surprise me if Kessel being a young testicular cancer survivor permanently affected his body's fat storage mechanisms/metabolism.)
