#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

THE RULES

If it's a recent trend, I wouldn't be surprised if it's because they want to write out the Trump supporter. Especially if we're talking about ConfusedPumpkin.

Yeah that sounds about right. ConfusedPumpkin also couldn't give less of a shit about MacKinnon anyway so I doubt the inaccuracy really bothers her.

NA I haven't read her stuff yet, but that's disappointing if she only cares about Drouin. In general I don't really get when authors only care about one half of the ship. It usually shows, too.

It definitely shows in her fics, and then I wound up following her on Tumblr and she sort of confirmed it. She makes fun of his looks a lot, and not in an affectionate way but more of a mean-spirited way. I really don't get how she can write them when she feels like that either.

AYRT Oh wow, that's shitty. :/ I'm confused why she even writes them then. No one better to ship Drouin with?
I used to follow her back before she got into fic, but had to unfollow because I got too annoyed by her text posts, lol. Glad I'm not missing out on anything...

Ayrt - It was their fic that prompted my question, so that might well be it. I just wish they put a note to say that they'd done it, especially as they have a note saying all hockey stuff is true. Perhaps they simply don't think of it as hockey stuff, who knows.

I think I might add them to the filter of nope anyway.
