#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

Somehow I can't imagine them as a ship at all yet, so now I want them to interact really badly, lol. I like them both a lot!

Well, I remember there were (are?) rumblings that the Flyers wanted to trade Giroux. Time for Skinner to seduce him to the Carolina.

ayrt. That's basically my whole idea behind this ship. I have no idea how it would work but they are the two dudes I like the most from that list. So I want them to smirk at each other and interact. And play on a line together.

Giroux has been playing much better towards the end of the season, so I don't think he'll get traded just yet. Also, he's one of the players I'd have problems ever imagining in a different jersey.

Yeah, I can't really imagine Giroux playing for a different team either, but then again it is the Flyers and they're not really the most sentimental...

But oh man, yes, I'd love them to play on a line together! And if not that, smirking at each other (well, Skinner seems more like the smiling type lol) is always an option, I guess.

I don't think the Flyers have anyone to replace Giroux as their 1C. They have tremendous D & G prospect depth (thank you Pierre, for always talking about it) but you never hear about any forwards in their system. Also, he's only 29? 30?

Just imagine how much fun would a Skinner/Giroux/Simmonds line be :D

I can't wait until we find out more about the lines and stuff. Has some been doing projections (aka guesses)? That line would be interesting for sure, but I feel like I can't imagine it, lol.

It's difficult to make any guesses when you don't have full lineups. And you won't get those before R1 of playoffs is over.

na I'm not saying the Flyers wouldn't ever trade him, because they'll trade anyone if the price is right, but the Philly beats tend to range from Not Good to Bad. Rumblings from outside the area might be a bit more reliable.
