It seems a bit inevitable at this point. I wonder who they will get as replacements.

I wonder how Pegula sees this. Is he keeping his star happy or was he unhappy that Murray/Bylsma couldn't keep Eichel from talking and is planning to get a martinet in to ride herd?

As the day goes on, I'm less and less thrilled about Murray getting the axe, too. There's rumblings that Terry is letting the same guy who messed up the Bills undermine the Sabres' management, too, so... my hope for a brighter future is short-lived flickering already.

And, of course, Harrington is being a complete fucking idiot on the NHL Network right now. I don't know why I even bother.

There was a thread on /r/hockey with a link to some insider claiming that Pierre McGuire may try once again to obtain a GM position, after failing to secure it with Montreal, Minnesota & Pittsburgh.

Reaction 1. Hasn't Buffalo suffered enough.

Don't worry, everyone, they fired their directors of pro and amateur scouting, too, so I am feeling GREAT about the expansion draft (which GMTM had a favor he fould've called in for, but lol, too late for that), the regular draft, summer trades...

From everything I hear of him, I think Jack Eichel isn't a franchise player, Buffalo will regret building around him. Both firing were well deserved.

That's what they said about Stanley Cup Champion Phil Kessel.

But he is not a player you should build around.

How do you know? It's not as though either Boston or Toronto actually tried doing that.

Sometimes I feel bad that the way this anon types makes their comments stand out so much, but it's also kind of funny to follow along with their consistently bizarre opinions.

Sometimes I worry about this.

He sounds young and dumb to me, mostly. If he stays like this, I agree with you, but I think he'll learn to shut up and play the game.

The production is there, and it's more impressive coming off that particular injury. I bet part of the reason he's going to Worlds is to show he can keep it it up.

He needs to learn how to deal with the media better for sure. At this point, take a page out of the hockey robot playbook.

Win both the 2014 and 2015 lotteries, nonny. Then they would have Ekblad and McDavid and it would be fine.

I don't know much about Buffalo's blue line, but if Lambert's right, ouch. Ouch. OTOH, I'm fairly skeptical of Bylsma as elite coach.
