#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

THE RULES

I hope he can get something back, but why are the Flames a defendant? Is it just because they're the employer so it's legally some kind of workplace issue?

Conventional wisdom in cases like these is you sue everybody and let the judge/jury decide who's liable. Wideman will obviously want to make the case that he was concussed at the time, and then the team's decision to let him continue playing will come into play.
