#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

Wow, yeah, that's harsh. I had exactly the opposite response as that commenter - I did not appreciate how the fic thought that Cam choosing to end a relationship somehow made him this terrible villain that had to spend the second half of the fic apologizing while every single one of his friends shamed him for his life choices. There was no complexity, just "You broke Ryan's heart years ago, shame on you." There was this implication that once Cam was in that relationship, he no longer got to make any decisions for what was best for him (even if he did end up regretting the breakup later).

He did what he thought was best with the information he had at the time, man. Give him a break.
