#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

This is the twenty-ninth post of Deke Dangle RPF Anon, a community for all your ice hockey anon meme needs.

THE RULES

I enjoyed all three Caps animal transformation-themed fics! The sheep one made me laugh the most, but the crow one is the best.

They were all lovely and well-written but I still don't get why this trope made such a career in this fandom.

I can think of lots of reasons. There's the standard one where someone made a good one once and then a lot of people ran with the idea. But I think the real reason is that it fits with hockey. That is, it's an AU you can introduce that allows for some creativity and world-building without making people need to change or take out the hockey.
