#29 – Lay, Lie, or Laine?

THE RULES

I am very happy at the depth and breadth of hockey podcasts that are available. But for the LOVE OF GOD I wish that some of these smaller podcasts would figure their audio shit out - because I am here for your content. But there comes a point when the awkward pauses and weird echoes aren't worth it for me anymore.

I want to love Two Bearded Ladies (or Deep in the Heart of Hockey or whatever they're called now) but their fucking piercing shrieks and never normalized audio is just Too Much.

This was always my problem with Girls Just Want to Have Puck. I enjoyed the content but one of the hosts voice was so. shrill. that I could not keep listening.

I know not everyone has access to a recording studio, but you can do better than a $30 headphone mic, or using your phone, or a potato, or whatever some of these people use. People have to be able to hear your hot takes!

I use a $30 headset mic, and it is actually fine. Not the phone or built in mic, though.
