Dear Hockey Gods

From: (Anonymous)
As we now move towards the long offseason, let us not be too jealous of those who have teams still playing. Let us remember the good old days, or if those days be too far away, let us have hope for the future. Guide our GMs to make good trades and contracts, our coaches to use players wisely, our assistant coaches to develop the right systems, and our players not to suffer any freak or un-funny offseason mishaps. (Funny ones are much appreciated.)

In thy name we bless this post, as we do all posts that keep the puck out of our net.

My favorite things about the offseason: Geno with animals and whatever crazy thing happens to Giroux.

lol same. i'm eagerly awaiting giroux's annual ridiculous off-season scenario (him playing with crosby at worlds is plenty entertaining, though) while dreading the annual injury. please just get through the off-season in one piece, g.

as a pens fan, sid and giroux at worlds have been more entertaining to me than the whole season

da

I have discovered a new appreciation for Oilers and Flyers players through watching Canada at Worlds.

this is probably hall and eberle's favourite time of the year.

They'll have McJesus now so next season will be their fave.

I feel the same way about Brock Nelson on Team USA. Like, I'm sorry Isles fans that you were bounced in the first round, but I'm really, really glad.

This is one of the few things that's making it better. Nelson's really underappreciated and hit a bad scoring slump late in the regular season that made a lot of people forget how awesome he was in the beginning of it. If we can get Nelson and Lee (who pretty much went on a hot streak when Nelson went into slump-mode) tearing it up at the same time, that will be really fucking awesome and scary.

Presumably Isles-nonnies? A quick question about Nelson: Does he always have such an understated goal celebration? Pretty much every goal of his I see at Worlds, his reaction is eh, nbd.

There were a couple of Stars fans yesterday claiming Canada's top line was looking shit. Turns out they were salty because Seguin had been moved. SEGUIN GETS TO PLAY ON A DECENT TEAM ALL SEASON - LET ME HAVE THIS. /disgruntled Oilers fan

I'd ask the hockey gods to please make the San Jose stop fucking up the team, and maybe get a good dman so Burns can go be a forward, but there are some things I doubt even the hockey gods can do.

Ask them to keep Hertl healthy and filled with joy.
