"only 50" out of 122 is 41%. Nearly half. Assuming, and in my experience it wouldn't necessarily be a bad assumption, that most of those 50 stories are mainly Kane/Toews stories, that leaves maybe 80 stories Keith/Seabrook stories. Yes, that's a lot by comparison to, idk, John Scott/Andrew Ladd, but it's not in the same conversation as even benn/seguin.

Well, yes, hence why I had it as a pairing on the fence, out of the top ten ship tags.

I mean, I'm happy to debate it, or to be disagreed with, but to be clear, part of what I was getting at was that the overwhelming growth of Kane/Toews, as part of the growth in fandom in a period more recent than peak Seabrook/Keith, made a not-rare pairing into a maybe-rare one, on my scale.

And I don't know if you're AIRT, but I was also clarifying because I don't think a lot of people are coming into the fandom and reading back to the beginning of the tag, as many folks did when the fandom was smaller, so they might have entirely missed that there were once a good chunk of stories independently for the pairing.
