THE RULES

Right? I'd respect her wishes by not sharing it with anyone, but I do wish I had copies for myself. I've already read them, it wouldn't be anything new. I should seriously learn how to download things instead of assuming they won't go anywhere.

Eh, I think it's okay to share fic privately or through a temporary link. I wouldn't upload someone else's work anywhere, though.

I agree. If it were between friends that know each other, IMO that's okay, but posting it as downloadable or re-posting it on AO3 is not okay.

I'm okay with something like posting a link to a pastebin file on this meme, because it's a small number of people who would find it. I'd prefer that the poster lock it or delete it from pastebin eventually, though. I wouldn't post that same link on tumblr. I definitely wouldn't make a permanent .pdf or ebook download anywhere and no way should anyone post deleted work that isn't theirs to AO3.
