This is what anons have been saying for days, and this is the current policy, and will not change, because anons don't want to implement any kind of labeling or new thread system.

da I can't tell but honestly considering that not adapting in general is how things die, and all the various trolls have shown that they want fandom to die, I'm sure they'll keep doing everything they can to make writers and writer-accommodating anons uncomfortable until they feel just as unwelcome and uncomfortable in fandom in general as their work going after specific targets and leave or slow down their production too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the people who're so anti-no discussion in the rec posts are the same anons who were against the bottom fest and trolled the anon(s?) who were willing to do it out of doing the idea.

It's like it's in their manifesto. No things can't change. No that's a dumb idea. No those rules are stupid. No your ideas are stupid. No it's not my job to care about you. And because it's all within the rules and other people back them up, they get away with it.

Sighs this is football fandom all over again.

A link without any opinion attached is worthless, when we don't know the taste of the reccer.

Any opinion is potentially hurtful to an author. I've had authors argue with me and get angry or hurt because I've complimented them for writing a hot/funny/scary fic, because that was not the emotion they were trying to evoke.

I don't think you're that anon, but I care exceedingly about the feelings of others, and about following social rules of conduct. I say "exceedingly" because it causes me anxiety. That is why I need a meme dedicated to real person fiction to discuss that fiction, and I'm willing to state my point of view that discussing rpf is always on topic on a meme dedicated to it whenever anyone argues against it.

I have not trolled anyone trying to stop them from organizing or participating in any fest.

I can't speak to the resr of your post but the first part is wrong. The majority of recs on other memes are just people giving out links to whats requested. You can add your comments but what people want most are the links! Since you don't know their taste anyway, them having said "This is the best fic ever!" is worthless. Anons don't hqve established or reputable opinions.

When people do give their opinions, they aren't usually challenged on them, because recs aren't a debate.

But mostly almost all other memes rec threads go "If you like spanking then these fics are for you: url, Pairing, the fic's summary or rating"

I think if a player was bottom-six at the time when the fic is set, and barring some other popularity-of-character restriction I guess, that player ought to be eligible.
