From: (Anonymous)yes i'm esl but i didn't mean that racism is gone anywhere in the world. but in europe it is blatant. it's just like being a gay player over here. fans will say racist things and revolt if a poc comes to their team. opposite fans gleefully chant racist stuff. people go after poc or immigrant fans. it's a mess.

From: (Anonymous)it's really bad and sad. here there are lots of racist people but no matter how many, they are seen as outliers who are against the curve.
in all european leagues the team captains give special talks before games about how racism is bad. they wear patches on jerseys decrying racism. there is a month dedicated to racism awareness.
i would never say that a n.american player was overreacting to any form of racism here but i think if they had to deal with a day over on europe they would try to round up all their fellow european pocs and drag them back to n.america with them just to give them a break from the nonstop bullshit and show them that 'it can be better' at arenas -_____- it's rediculous what - lbr here, black and african immigrant - poc players have to deal with. even people who're first generation german, italian, etc and have no accent and lived in the country their whole lives get shit. asian and latino players get it too but african players are considered to be free game or expected to deal with it.

From: (Anonymous)ugh, you're reminding me of how much i hate football (soccer) culture. and european racism. and the world.
the worst part isn't even the blatantly racist people, because at least they know they're racist and probably proudly call themselves that. it's the people who don't know what they're doing is racist and won't listen to your explanations as to WHY BLACKFACE IS RACIST, JESUS CHRIST. ("i don't mean it like that, chill out. that only applies in america, we didn't have slavery here.")
