From: (Anonymous)I do see their point about it being different in Europe but it seems kind of prevalent on Twitter, enough so that there's a few accounts set up solely to shame-RT racist sports fans.

From: (Anonymous)Yeah, a guy on my team has gotten shit from fanbases in Canada and the US, as well as in Europe during the lockout. In his case, the stuff during the lockout was blatant and in the arena, and the officials (I'm pretty sure) found the fans yelling it and banned them. In North America most of the stuff has been on Twitter, to my knowledge, outside of the guy who threw a banana at him.
