Is it because he doesn't have preseason and postseason suits? (Is that even really a thing?)

I mean, his weight definitely fluctuates a lot, but tailors are a thing. He buys ostensibly beautiful suits from that Montreal designer, but they're always too big. I have to think he wants them that way, but if he pays someone to give him fashion advice and they're letting him dress in those stupid long jackets, it's a waste of money.

I get that he's weirdly proportioned, but holy cow. Rich people in beautiful clothes should not have this much of a struggle.

I noticed american guys tend to wear suits that seem to big. On the other hand he sometimes wears very tight fitting shirts.

I hate those long jackets they make his proportions look weird/er.

long jackets and slightly baggy fits are characteristics of an american style suit, actually, so maybe the americans wearing them are just being patriotic. i suspect comfort levels probably play a bigger part though.

sigh. you know you were in inception fandom when you know things about suit styles.
